• Multiple disc (multidisc): mainly for oil bath and dry applications at low-medium speed;
• Single-disc: only for dry applications.

Clutches for Industrial Machines‘ control can be Hydraulic, Pneumatic or Electromagnetic.

They can operate in the following ways:

• Spring released: the control engages the transmission; the clutch engages when oil, air or voltage is supplied;
• Spring-applied: the control disengages the transmission; the clutch disengages when oil, air or voltage is supplied.
