M.W.M. has been engaged by a global oil and gas company to provide advice, engineer and supply an emergency brake that can withstand the hostile environment that causes corrosion and possible failure of standard items.
That’s why we have designed and manufactured a special FAIL-SAFE BRAKE FOL-N008C-BF (Spring applied / hydraulically released Brake) made in full stainless-steel material (body, piston, springs).
Four brakes are used as a parking brake/fail safe brake in order to hold or stop a drilling equipment.
When the hydraulic pressure drops the brake is engaged and provide for emergency stopping.
